Top Metal Roof Color Trends for 2019

More homeowners have been choosing metal roofing because of its durability and fire resistance. This roofing type also offers more color options and styles compared to other materials.

“Living Coral” is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2019. It is a bright pinkish-orangey hue with a gold undertone. However, the Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) says this year that homeowners will have many choices. New View Roofing discusses more.

2019 Color Trends

According to MRA, homeowners are opting for colors with more depth and contrast that remind them of their past experiences.

“There’s a longing and desire for things that have a connection to the past and will stand the test of time, and that’s driving the popularity for some of the vintage looks we’re seeing for 2019,” Renee Ramey, MRA’s executive director said.

Aged Bronze and Weathered Zinc with a “reclaimed” appearance are the colors to look out for in 2019. Some metal roofing manufacturers have started producing designs that imitate a rusted or aged roof look.

Longevity of Metal Roofs

Aside from color, it’s important to focus on the quality of your roof. Good metal roofs are longer lasting, more durable and more energy-efficient, and have a Class A rating, which makes them able to withstand F-2 tornado-force winds.

Choose a roofing company that can provide both quality and color like New View Roofing. MRA says it’s important to select a reputable manufacturer and installer, and this is good advice for any homeowner.
