In 1944, E.L. and Mary Ethel Craig of Joplin, MO, decided to make their mark in the roofing business. They called themselves TAMKO, an acronym for the five territories they wanted to serve: Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. Since its founding, TAMKO is now a nationally recognized manufacturer with numerous locations throughout the country.
